In order for us to provide the best service and safety for our customers we need to collect information which in the extremely unlikely situation of medical assistance being required will mean we can provide the highest level of care.

This information is typical of outdoor pursuit providers and includes;

  • Date of Birth 

  • Address 

  • Phone Number 

  • Alternative Phone Number 

  • Email Address 

  • Emergency Contact Name 

  • Emergency Contact Phone Number 

  • Medical Issues 

  • Medication currently taken 

What we do with your information

Your information will be held securely and with password protection. Any printed documents will be stored in a secure location.

We will only share your information if we are required to do so by law and will not sell your information to anyone. 

Payments will be managed using secure operating systems. 

Sandeman Canoe Company will not send spam emails, however we may contact you occasionally if we think something may be of personal interest to you, for example a British Canoeing course for the next stage of your professional development. You have the right to ask us not to contact you if preferred.

 How long is my information held for?

Sandeman Canoe Company will only hold information for as long as required. 

In order to comply with our legal requirements for tax and insurance this is up to seven years. After this period all information will be deleted.

What are my rights?

You have the right to request access to the information we hold about you.

You Have the right to request we delete your personal information.

You have the right to request changes to your information if you feel it is inaccurate.

You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
