Bushcraft Days

Spend a day learning how to get back to basics and how to be comfortable outdoors.

Our bushcraft experiences are tailored to the wants of the group whether that be a family wanting to learn “survival skills” and just to have fun whilst out in the woods or for adults wanting to improve their skills for expedition or general camping outdoors.

We have a beautiful site with accommodation available, based just outside of Corwen, a short drive from Llangollen and only a short drive from Bala.

As an example of a full days bushcraft session, on arrival at our site we’ll have short walk up to our camp area, as we walk through our site we’ll identify trees and plants we pass and discuss uses. Once we get to the site we’ll start with fire! Exploring different methods for fire lighting and how to light a fire with no matches even on wet days! We can show you methods as simple or complex as you like whether using a Ferro Rod, Flint and Steel or Bow Drill!
Once we’ve successfully got a fire going we’ll put the kettle on and cook some lunch over the fire!

Following Lunch, we’ll look at knife skills creating feather sticks, tent pegs, pot hangers or mallets before we head into the woods to look at creating shelter whether that be putting up tarps and learning knots or creating natural shelters (dens) and testing how weather proof you can get them!

Why not consider combining this activity with canoeing on LLyn Tegid (Bala Lake) only a short drive from the woods, combine canoeing and bushcraft over a day or two for the perfect adventure, even camp at our site!

No experience is necessary.

HALF DAY £55 per Adult, £45 per Child (16 & Under)
